About this coffee
Lalesa Black Honey comes from the Lalesa area of Gedeb, Ethiopia, grown above 2200 m.a.s.l. from 74110, 74112 and heirloom varieties. In black honey processing, most of the sticky fruit mucilage stays on the bean during a slow drying, which adds intense sweetness and body.
In the cup: violets, strawberry, dark honey and lemonade, with very high sweetness and a full body. An expressive, rare Ethiopian process for filter brewing.
How to brew
Filter: 15 g of coffee to 250 g of water (1:16) at 92–94 °C; total brew time around 2:45–3:15 on V60, Kalita or AeroPress.
Single-origin specialty Arabica, roasted by Wave Coffee Roasters in Portugal.
