About this coffee
El Salvador El Martillo is a honey-processed Yellow Caturra from Apaneca, in the Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range of western El Salvador, grown above 1500 m.a.s.l. Part of the fruit mucilage stays on the bean during drying, adding sweetness and a round body.
In the cup: dried strawberry, cacao, cherry and florals. Available roasted for espresso or for filter brewing.
How to brew
Filter: 15 g of coffee to 250 g of water (1:16) at 92–94 °C; total brew time around 2:45–3:15 on V60, Kalita or AeroPress.
Espresso: 18 g in, 36–40 g out in 26–30 seconds; adjust the grind to taste.
Single-origin specialty Arabica, roasted by Wave Coffee Roasters in Portugal.
